Very frustrating! I listened to this interview months ago and I’m still bothered by it today.
Roper is painting a picture of God that has most people scattering in the opposite direction. Her views are anything but helpful to those questioning the existence of God. Who wants to follow the god she is worshiping?
In this world, people hurt people and sin is an inescapable part of humanity…and I think that breaks God’s heart. Since pain and mistakes are inevitable in life, forgiveness and love must be abundant. God never asked us to be perfect. He only asked us to believe in His existence.
Omerica the Beautiful, where even insane people can pretend to have a sane point of view and not be executed for his or her comments. Great interview!
